Humans have a dual nature yet it is still directed from the center, the self, the ego. Therefore the ego can be the cause of the development of goodness or it can be the cause of the appearance of negative traits.
‘Ego-driven’ is the pursuit of something that is beyond the sphere of the the self, under the influence of negative traits of the ego. Two good examples are ego-driven intervention and ego-driven interpretation. There is no moral authority for anyone to claim to be able to do either of these yet the ego-driven fool themselves into justifying these immoral and unjust pursuits. What comes to mind as two examples of the negative traits adhered to by the ego to take these actions are ignorance and arrogance.
