Justice Can Be Known By Its Fruits.

Justice exists in the human realm. When plant succession leads to one species-type replacing another no plant cries “foul.” When a snake comes upon a mouse hole and enters and eats its inhabitants there is no picketing for justice by other mice! However a sentimental human may see these occurrences and try to superimpose a belief and come up with an interpretation that an injustice has occurred. Without the existence of humans it can be said that there is no concept of justice.

Only if humans were not really human – all exactly equal – would justice be a non-concept. And so in reality justice is an omnipresent concept that is interwoven throughout all of human action. Of course human beliefs again come into play and so interpretations of what is just and what is unjust are innumerable and varied. One of the consequences of living in the Dark Ages of economics has to do with a very poor understanding of human action and this is significantly aggravated by not understanding that the appropriate scientific methodology for the study of human sciences is subjectivism. With these biases in place it is safe to say that justice is a slippery concept.

However justice can be known by its fruits. The drive in socialism and communism to create equality is ironically the cause of great injustices because it runs contrary to natural law. First of all it is unjust to forcibly apply an unrealistic nature on humans. The fruits of this kind of ‘justice’ are rotten. The political class that tries to impose equality on the masses enjoy the great inequality of being the ordained ego-driven interventionist and ego-driven interpreter, with all of its perks. This rotten fruit of injustice cannot be considered justice. The squelching of the creative expressions of naturally subjective human beings requires force and so many of the ‘equals’ will have to be either killed or incarcerated. This is another rotten fruit of this kind of injustice. Those who meekly abide by the will of the overlords have no chance of developing any ethics as they are simply told what to do and how to behave and what to believe. This supposedly creates a condition of ‘equality’ by forcing humans to be slave-like but anyone with any brains or any morals know instinctively and intuitively that this is a rotten fruit.

Justice is that which enhances voluntary social cooperation. By this definition humans are given the freedom to express themselves and to contribute to an ever-advancing civilization.

Replace The Bankrupt Ideology Of Statism.

One of the most crying needs of this period in history – the Dark Ages of economics – is the refinement of private property rights so that a contractual society can replace the bankrupt ideology of statism. Then the continual refinement of property rights will be the hallmark of an ever-advancing civilization.

The Use Of The Empirical Method In Economics Is At Best Irrelevant.

The use of empirical methods in economics is like catching the wind with a hammer!

First of all, since humans are subjective and they value any and all things, material and ideal, subjectively there is no way to represent the subjective choices and decisions by the use of a point of data. Even an exchange made in the market – the buyer exchanges money for a product – cannot be a point of data. If the two things exchanged were perfectly equal what would be the point? One person values what they get more than what they give up or else there would be no exchange. A data point has no information about the double inequality of value that occurs at the time of an exchange.

And secondly the real world is dynamic and not static. In other words, even if the fallacy of economic information contained in data points is ignored, the empirical methodology can at best be irrelevant. First the data is collected, then it has to be interpreted. By who? With what objective? All of the sudden someone is introduced into the process for the purpose of interpreting the data. This person is a so-called ‘expert’ but more accurately, this person is an ego-driven interpreter of the data with an objective in mind.

The data cannot even get to the next stage without the interjection of an ego-driven interpreter.

But if we ignore the bias and corruption of this practice there is still another absurdity associated with empirical economics. What about lag time? The so-called data was collected at a different time and place which no longer exists in the real world. Whatever the conclusion is derived from fallacy upon fallacy is no longer relevant!

Yet this is what the State and its central-planners inflict on people as remedies for the ills which were created by the earlier empirical economic charlatans.

The alternative and scientifically-valid methodology is subjectivism as is used by Austrian economists and economists in the classical liberalism tradition.

Notable Characteristics Of Praxeology Are Time And Causality And Human Action.

First we need to understand praxeology. It is the study of human action logic. It is action logic that takes into account time and causality. It is logic action in the passage of time. The notable characteristics of praxeology are time and causality and human action.

What emerges from this reflection is the consideration of the difference between a priori and a posteriori reasoning. A priori is from cause to effect, is based on something known – such as natural law – and it is valid independently of observation. A posteriori is based upon actual observation or upon experimental data, starting there and working back to their causes. Speaking about the power of science and the power of appropriate methodology, Mises says: “What makes natural science possible is the power to experiment, what makes social science possible is the power to grasp or to comprehend the meaning of human action.” [Ludwig von Mises,Money, Method and the Market Process (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1990), Ch. 1, Section III.]

Interventionism Attacks The Market Process.

Humans are subjective and what they value differs from others and it differs even for themselves at different times. Within the process of the market is information about what others value and produce and there is information about whatever it is that you want. This is the ‘language’ that facilitates social cooperation and people desire to be able to voluntarily listen and watch and learn from that dynamic process.

The market process is the target of the ego-driven and their intervention is an attack on economic freedom.

Microeconomics Definition Emphasizing Entrepreneurship.

One definition of microeconomics that then emerges is as follows: it is a study of how individuals discover and react to information in the market as part of their division of labor to produce and to earn income, so as to meet their personal desires for goods and services.

Each experience in the series of knowledge gaining experiences is more competitive than the preceding period. In other words, we are constantly searching for ways to make things better for ourselves. And since competition and entrepreneurship are analytically inseparable these experiences act to stimulate our entrepreneurship. That is very good news indeed since releasing our potential, by changing our entrepreneurship from latent to active, leads to prosperity.

Interventionism Collectivizes The Human Spirit.

Economic intervention begins at the macro level and it trickles its way to the micro level and is very disruptive at both the macro and micro level. Interventionism starts at the macro level by interfering with the processes that bring order, or by obstructing the transformation processes. Not only that but laws are converted into legal codes for easy manipulation, and the attempt is to collectivize the human spirit when the economy is subjected to interventionism. These are all corruptions.

Artificially dissecting the economy into macro and micro is what makes interventionism possible. It follows the strategic plan of attack by the ego-driven enemy: divide and conquer! But macro and micro are one whole, inseparable. Separating them is a corruption.
