Let’s start with its definition:
a group of confederates, especially of states more or less permanently united for common purposes.
This is an example of social cooperation at a societal level, that is to say, it is a reflection of the beneficence of social cooperation at the individual level.
The fear associated with the word ‘confederate’ and its derivatives comes directly and indirectly from an education system controlled by the State. Nowhere in the concept of confederation is there room for a central government in control of everything, which implies quite strongly that the current and dominating system is flawed. As a consequence it is necessary for the State to create fear – using statist propaganda – making it appear that there are no feasible alternatives to the status quo.
Not only is confederation a just and feasible approach but it is also the most viable means to bring peace and prosperity to all the nations of the world. We are living in a time when the confederation of nations – united for the common purpose of peace and prosperity – is an important step towards an ever-advancing human civilization.
